18 Chait, Kathmandu. The former general minister of Nepali Congress, Prakashman Singh, has commented that the special convention is the reason why the Congress has reached its current state. Neta Singh made this comment while speaking in a discussion led by outgoing Acting Chairman Purna Bahadur Khadka on Wednesday.
‘We got a bit lazy even after August 23 and 24. “The special session is the reason why the Congress has reached its current state,” he said. He said that it would be better if the leader of his party did not participate in the election after the working committee elected by the special convention was authorized.
“I told the Chairman (Sher Bahadur Deuba) that after the decision of the Election Commission, the election conducted by the Election Commission should not be contested,” he said.
He also said that the situation of the Congress is pathetic now. He said, ‘If the family of Ganeshman Singh, who brought democracy to the country, is in this condition, what will happen to the workers living in the district?’
He asked Khadka to establish the practice of making decisions in the future through collective discussion in his group.
