19 March, Kathmandu. In today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has submitted three ordinances. In the first meeting of the first session of the Assembly, after the members had put their views on the party basis, under the regular agenda, he submitted ‘Citizenship (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2082’, ‘House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2082’ and ‘Nepal Special Service (Third Amendment) Ordinance, 2082’.
According to the clause (2) of Article 84 of the Constitution of Nepal, the law was amended by ordinance for the reservation of the population to be included in the closed list of proportionality.
After the election date of the House of Representatives was fixed for February 21st, the previous government brought the ‘House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Ordinance’ for the purpose of revising the voter list.
