19 Chait, Kathmandu. Nepali Congress MP Bhishmaraj Angdembe asked Prime Minister Balendra Shah whether the report of the inquiry commission will be made public by the government or not? He asked that. Speaking at the first meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, Angdembe questioned former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki about the intentions of the commission and the government.
‘Will the government itself publish the report of the Commission of Inquiry or will the Prime Minister also read the Gorkha paper?’, Angdembe said.
He also questioned the Commission’s silence regarding the burning of Parliament House and Singha Durbar on August 24.
Why did the parliament building burn to ashes, why did the lion palace burn? “Who burned it?” he asked, “It is necessary to investigate the incidents of August 23 and 24 one by one.”
He also said that the incidents of August 23 and 24 should not be viewed differently. He said, ‘Someone will see the incident of 23, but not the destruction of 24. No one will see the destruction of 24, but the suppression of 23. This trend is completely wrong.’
Meanwhile, Angdembe commented that the investigation commission created by the government did not investigate the incident on the 23rd until the 24th. ‘What kind of way is this? It cannot be said that adding time many times but not working was not the intention of the investigation commission,’ he said.
He urged the government to take steps forward in a deliberate manner. He said that the Congress is determined that the guilty should not escape and the innocent should not be caught.
