19 Chait, Kathmandu. Nepal Airlines Corporation (Nepal Airlines) is going to operate special flights in West Asia. From Friday for 3 days (from 3rd to 5th April) special flights will be operated in different areas.

A special flight is planned to facilitate the rescue and movement of Nepali citizens in West Asia. Kathmandu-Dubai flight on April 3, Dubai-Kathmandu on April 4, Kathmandu-Dammam and Dammam-Kathmandu on April 5.

The government said that it is going to operate a special flight for the Nepalese who are in those areas to return to their country and those who are unable to go to their destination country.

Foreign Minister Shishir Khana held a meeting on Chait 17 between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal Civil Aviation Authority and Nepal Airlines Corporation. In that meeting, the issues of rescuing and facilitating the movement of Nepali citizens in West Asia and conducting necessary air services were discussed.

Following the instructions of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nepal Airlines Corporation is going to operate special flights. Due to the ongoing tension and insecurity in West Asia, regular flights to those regions have been suspended since February 28.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Insurance Company has helped to facilitate the necessary insurance arrangements during the flight.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has thanked other concerned agencies for contributing and coordinating special flights even in the current situation of tension in West Asia.
