Introduction
Trichoderma viride is a useful green fungus found in soil.
It grows fast on plant roots and helps protect them.
It is widely used as a biocontrol agent in farming because it fights harmful plant fungi.

Uses in Agriculture
- Controls plant diseases: It kills or stops harmful fungi like Rhizoctonia, Fusarium, and Pythium.
- Protects seeds: Used as a seed treatment to prevent seed-rot and damping-off.
- Improves root growth: Helps roots grow stronger and healthier.
- Increases nutrient uptake: Helps plants absorb nutrients better.
- Reduces need for chemicals: Safe and eco-friendly alternative to chemical fungicides.
- Improves soil health: Encourages good microbes and breaks down organic matter.
