The process of removing the land of the Koshi Pump Chandra Nahar irrigation system has been started after encroachment by various people.

Koshi Pump Chandra Nahar Irrigation Management Office Rajviraj issued a public notice on March 16 and instructed to vacate the land within seven days.

The office said that activities such as throwing various types of garbage and mixing sewage are also taking place in the canal, and the office has asked not to do any such activities within the canal command area.

The office has warned that if illegal activities are done, if damage is done, if the land is not vacated within seven days, action will be taken according to the prevailing law.

Houses have been built by encroaching on canal land. Some have planted grass, leguminous crops and trees. Locals said that after the encroachment of the canal land, there was a problem in delivering irrigation to the fields and even transporting tractors.
