The Nepal Press Union has objected after the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers directed that government information and advertisements be published and broadcast only through government and government-owned media. In a press release issued by the union on Friday, it stated that free, fair and pluralistic communication is the basis of a democratic governance system.
