20 March, Kathmandu. The government of Nepal is operating a special flight from today for three days to rescue Nepali citizens who are in trouble due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia.

Nepal Airlines Corporation (Nepal Airlines) is going to start Kathmandu-Dubai flights on April 3, Dubai-Kathmandu on April 4, Kathmandu-Dammam and Dammam-Kathmandu on April 5.

The government said that it is going to operate a special flight for the Nepalese who are in those areas to return to their country and those who are unable to go to their destination country.

Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal held a meeting on 17th Chait between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal Civil Aviation Authority and Nepal Airlines Corporation.

In that meeting, the issues of rescuing and facilitating the movement of Nepali citizens in West Asia and conducting necessary air services were discussed.

Following the instructions of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nepal Airlines Corporation is going to operate special flights for three days.

Due to the ongoing tension and insecurity in West Asia, regular flights to those regions have been suspended since February 28.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Insurance Company has helped to facilitate the necessary insurance arrangements during the flight.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has thanked other concerned agencies for contributing and coordinating special flights even in the current situation of tension in West Asia.
