27 Chait, Kathmandu. Rubikumari Thakur, a 25-year-old MP elected from Shram Sanskriti Party, has been elected as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
In the Deputy Speaker election held on Friday, she won the post of 229 MPs, while her rival Saraswati Lama of RPP got 5 votes.
In addition to labor culture, parliamentarians of RSVP, Nepali Congress and Nepali Communist Party also voted in support of Ruby. CPN-UML MPs did not participate in the election.
