25 March, Kathmandu. Due to the influence of western low pressure system and local winds, rainfall occurred in various parts of the country including Kathmandu valley. It rained like all day today in the Kathmandu Valley, which has been foggy since morning.

Due to the rain, common people who went out of their homes for various work were affected. Those who knew about the weather forecast were seen going to their destination with umbrellas and raincoats, while some could be seen walking on the streets of Kathmandu.

According to the Water and Weather Forecasting Division, light rain and snow with thunder and lightning are occurring in some parts of the hilly and mountainous parts of the country.

This afternoon, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces will be completely replaced and other parts will be partially replaced. Moderate rain with thunder, lightning, storm and hail occurred in many places of those provinces and some places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces as well as in some places in the Terai of Madhesh and Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

According to the department, there is a possibility that there will be normal to complete change over the country tonight. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall in Koshi, Madhesh, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces as well as many places in hilly and Himalayan areas and some places in Terai.

The Division has requested the general public and all concerned including the operators of transport vehicles in those areas to exercise caution in some places of Madhesh and Koshi and Terai of Bagmati Province, where there is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder, lightning, wind and hail.
