Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Indraman Tuladhar informed that the name was withdrawn after being suspended from the National Sports Council (Rakhep).
18 Chait, Kathmandu. Nepal will not play FIFA series-2026. According to the FIFA schedule, the Nepali women’s team was scheduled to play 4 domestic series in Thailand on April 12 and 15.
However, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Indraman Tuladhar informed that the name was withdrawn after being suspended from the National Sports Council (Rakhep).
“There is no other option but to withdraw after being suspended by Rakhep for 3 months,” he told Online News.
ANFA had announced the initial squad of 32 players for the series on March 11th. On the same day, the camp of the players could not even be held after being suspended from the club.
Another country was scheduled to compete in the series along with Thailand, Nepal and Congo. However, since Nepal will not participate, other countries will get the opportunity.
Due to the dispute between ANFA and Rakhep, the international friendly match between Nepal and Hong Kong, which was scheduled to be held on March 12 at Dashrath Stadium, was also postponed.
