25-year-old Ruby found her trip to Parliament unexpected. After being included in the list of proportional parliamentarians, Ruby Kumari told Online Khabar, ‘I am a normal person. But I always used to watch the videos of Labor Culture Party and President Hark Sampang. And I became a supporter thinking that such a person is needed for the country. Becoming an MP is a ‘surprise’ for me.

Ruby was working in a consultancy in Dhanush for 7 months after completing her three-year diploma in engineering from the local Balra Polytechnic. At the same time, he was made a proportional member of parliament by the Labor Culture Party.

Ruby’s father, Sograth Thakur, was a barber in the profession before he went to work abroad in Saudi Arabia. He is currently in Saudi Arabia. Mother Renu Thakur is a housewife. Ruby has four sisters and two brothers in the family.

Ruby, who doesn’t know much about political language, got nervous and told Online Khabar at Shram Sanskrit Party’s office in Dharan, ‘We are sitting on a piece of land. We earn another’s two bigha land in Bataiya (Adhiya) for livelihood. Baba sends 15/20 thousand rupees per month for household expenses. I used to earn 20,000 per month. Now, I have to understand people’s problems rather than personal problems, so I pay more attention to Parliament.’

He believes that even though the law of Nepal prohibits the dowry system, women suffer more because that law cannot be implemented. Therefore, she said that Parliament will take initiatives to solve problems like dowry system, child marriage and unemployment.

Before entering culture, while she was studying diploma level engineering, she planned to do some work to help the disabled community in the society.

After doing her SE from Shree Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Majhelia, Dhanusha, she studied Diploma Engineering to become self-employed.

After doing SEE in 2018, she did a three-year diploma course in engineering and learned to make house maps using 2D and 3D technology.

Having done Diploma Engineering, now he plans to do BE (Bachelor Engineering). He is planning to do BE after arranging his time while also handling the responsibilities of MP.

“Being a member of parliament is an opportunity for the country and the people on a political journey, and I want to continue my engineering studies as a bachelor’s degree in engineering is useful for my family and livelihood,” says Ruby.

Ruby, who had the opportunity to become the deputy speaker at the age of Genji, is not yet married.

On the topic of marriage, she told Online Khabar, ‘I will give five years to Parliament. I will study more engineering by arranging time. Then let’s think about marriage.’
