In a few moments, the calm atmosphere there turned into panic. 33-year-old Sumit Nemwang and his 25-year-old brother Sirjan Nemwang, who were living in Lalitpur after returning from Jhapa, were stabbed. The person who stabbed was 32-year-old Sanjeev Nepali (Sanju). The incident took place on Wednesday at 7:30 pm.

They were seriously injured and taken to B&B Hospital in Lalitpur for immediate treatment. But at 8:30, the doctor declared both of them dead. They are siblings.

How did the incident happen?

According to the preliminary investigation of the police, it seems that the murder was not caused by an old enmity but by a wrong phone call.

When Sumit calls, the call goes to an unknown number. The conversation that started with a simple inquiry on the phone turned into a conversation in no time.

The bitterness of words between both parties increased. Finally, they reached an agreement that ‘let’s meet and talk’.

Sumit along with his brother Sirjan and his friends had reached Mangalbazar for a day trip on Wednesday. Sanjeev Nepali also reached in front of Krishna Mandir.

After meeting the two sides, the normal discussion turned into a fight. As the dispute escalated, Sanjeev Nepali took out the knife he was carrying and attacked Sumit. Then when brother Sirjan went to save him, he also stabbed him in the neck and stomach.

After the stabbing, both of them were seriously injured and fell down. Then someone informed the police, someone tried to take the injured to the hospital.

Sanjeev, involved in the murder, used to work in a meat shop in Bholdhoka. The police arrested 32-year-old Sanjeev Nepali and his accomplice Gagan Sunar of Chasal while they were on the run with a knife.

Psychiatrists attribute such events to sudden impulses. The preliminary investigation of the police has also reached the same conclusion. Lalitpur SSP Hovindra Bogti said that the incident happened due to passion and excitement.

“In normal situations, when people feel that the conflict is increasing, they try to stop themselves or find a solution because ‘it may cause problems later,'” Pant said to Online Khabar, “but sometimes when a person gets too impulsive in a personality problem, conscious thinking becomes weak.” Unable to control anger can lead to accidents.’

In some cases, such incidents are done by people with personality problems. For example, in antisocial personality, sociopathy or psychopathy, the ability to control such impulses may be weaker.

Such people can commit serious violent acts in momentary anger, fear or excitement.

According to experts, in some cases, people feel regret after the incident. But in some cases he cannot think about the consequences of his behavior.

According to psychiatrists, people with extreme anger or aggressive nature can improve their behavior through counseling and therapy.
