Since Oli was arrested, he has been in the University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj. SP Bhattarai said that the team of the district attorney’s office and the investigating officer of the police are now taking statements at the university teaching hospital.

On the other hand, the author’s statement is over. He appeared at the public prosecutor’s office on Wednesday and gave a statement.

Similarly, the 5-day deadline given for the first time after the arrest has also expired today, Thursday. According to which, the police has also prepared to issue a second deadline against them today.

SP Bhattarai said that the preparations for the extension of the deadline have been advanced through the video conference of both Oli and the author.

A commission was formed under the coordination of ex-judge Gauri Bahadur Karki to investigate the Genji movement incident that took place on 23 and 24 August. The commission recommended that Oli, the writer, be prosecuted for the crime of life.

They were arrested last Saturday morning after the government decided to implement the recommendations of the commission. They have been in custody since then.
