18 Chait, Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Far West General Minister Naranarayan Shah ‘Manu’ has announced that he will not participate in the party’s formal and informal programs amid the controversy that has erupted in the party.

On Wednesday, he wrote a long status on the social networking site Facebook and announced that he will not participate in the formal and informal programs of the party expressing his displeasure with the latest violence seen in the party.

General Minister Shah wrote, ‘Until the entire Nepali Congress stands united in this sensitive and challenging situation, I thought with a heavy heart that from now on I am forced to take a decision not to participate in any formal or informal programs of the party.’

Chief Minister Shah has also indicated that he will probably stay away from party politics in the coming days. “If, unfortunately, the party goes towards division in the meantime, then it is certain that there will be a severe blow to the loyalty and spirit of friends who are believers in democracy and socialism and are superstitious under the four-star flag,” he said.

Shah previously served as the president of Congress Kailali for two terms. His father himself. Mohan Bahadur Shah (former president) also led the Kailali Congress.
