Kathmandu. The film ‘Snow Leopard’ directed by Pema Chedan has been screened at the Nepal International Film Festival (NIF). This film premiered at the 2023 edition of the Venice International Film Festival and was screened at ‘Sijang Panorama’ under NIF.

This film, based on the story of the life of a Tibetan shepherd and the coexistence between humans and the environment, was also popular in Venice.

Three other films ‘Home Away Home Close’, ‘Learners from the Top of the World’ and ‘Sunrise over the Plateau’ were screened on Saturday under Sijang Panorama. All these three films were screened in the Hall of Tourism Board located at Bhrikuti Manda.

Directed by Guo Yifei, ‘Home Away Home Close’ tells the story of a young man who faces geographical difficulties to start a public service initiative called ‘Mobile Photo Studio’ for local shepherds.

The director of the film ‘Learners from the Top of the World’ is Jacques Malaterre. This film has raised an educational issue.

The film ‘Sunrise over the Plateau’, directed by Xiao Xiaowai, has exposed the unusual changes in the education, economy and culture of an ordinary family.

Under this Panorama, films ‘Warrior King’ and ‘Discovering Season 2026’ will also be screened on Sunday. It is a special non-competition performance program at ‘Sijang Panorama’ under NIF.

Films competing in NIF on Saturday were screened at Civil Mall, Chhaya Center and Russian House. There was also a ‘Nif feature pitch’ program in the tourism board. In which the new and young writer narrated the story to the producer.
