18 Chait, Rukum Purv. Telephone service has been interrupted for three days in various settlements of rural municipality in Rukum East.

Local life has been affected due to disruption of Nepal Telecom’s mobile service. After the service was suspended from Monday, villages like Jhumlabang, Morabang, Seema, Jitkhola, Khabang, Mahat and others have become without communication.

With increasing dependence on mobile services, banking services, school activities, health services and municipal administrative functions have been affected due to network disruptions.

Due to disruption in service delivery through digital means, local residents are facing difficulties in conducting their daily work.

Nepal Telecom’s office in Rukum East has not yet released any official information about the reason for the service interruption.

Meanwhile, after the network was blocked, local Chandra Rasaili drew attention through social media. He pointed out that the long-term management of the telecom tower at Bhume-6 Mahat has not been done and said that the problem of frequent interruption of services due to local power interruption is recurring.
