19 Chait, Kathmandu. UML has corrected the opinion given by the leader of the parliamentary party Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ in the first meeting of the House of Representatives as being against the values ​​of the party.

The party secretariat reviewed Badal’s statement for about 6 hours on Friday. After the review, the meeting made it clear that UML has friendly relations with the Nepali Army, Police, staff, international agencies, etc.

General Secretary Shankar Pokharel himself issued a statement after the meeting and corrected Badal’s opinion. Badal’s manner of congratulating the Prime Minister in Parliament was also sarcastic. Similarly, he insulted the votes given by the people and spoke from the angle of conspiracy.

The meeting held that all those things said by Badal were against the basic agenda adopted by UML for the democratic system.

“He came to UML, but even now his understanding is not different from when he was in Maoist”, a top leader said after today’s meeting, “It seems that he has yet to understand the acceptance of UML.”

In today’s meeting of UML, most of the leaders of the secretariat said that his statement was not right and it should be clarified according to the party’s policy.

He chaired Friday’s meeting as acting chairman. However, after being questioned by other leaders, he also defended his expression by saying that he was a bit emotional in yesterday’s meeting.

In the first meeting of the House of Representatives, Badal spoke for 6 minutes and 17 seconds. In that order, he expressed doubts about the election results.

Badal’s conclusion was that invisible foreign forces also played a role in bringing magical victory to RSVP. ‘For what purpose did armed TOBs appear as talismans on 23/24? For what purpose were the former Prime Ministers and Home Ministers arrested illegally?’, asked Thapa.

After he made such an opinion, some leaders publicly criticized Badal on Thursday. Then a secretariat meeting was called on Friday to review the matter.

The secretariat meeting of UML has clearly stated that the party has previous relations with the relevant bodies.

EML also congratulated Prime Minister Balendra Shah separately.

The meeting claimed that the UML had no direction, control or interference in the election to elect the leader of the parliamentary party.

The secretariat meeting of the party held on Friday has also called on the party line not to make public comments about this.

According to Deputy General Secretary Lekhraj Bhatt, the meeting made it clear that there was no direction, control and interference from the party in the election.

“The election committee has completed the prescribed process and announced that the party’s vice president and Honorable Ram Bahadur Thapa was elected unopposed,” said Bhatt.

In addition, he also said that the party is paying serious attention to the reaction of the public media regarding the election of the parliamentary party leader.

UML elected Ram Bahadur Thapa unopposed as the leader of the parliamentary party. UML’s young MP Suhang Nemwang was also preparing to run for office.

However, he was not able to register his candidacy at the last moment because he did not get supporters and proponents.

The youth wing of the UML had been objecting to that issue.

The meeting objected to the fact that the government had taken a decision on abolishing the student organization in its 100-point agenda and demanded to withdraw it.

Deputy General Secretary Bhatt has strongly opposed the current government’s decision to abolish and ban student organizations, and has drawn attention to withdraw from this decision.
