26 Chait, Kathmandu. The government has appointed six members to the National Planning Commission.

Planning commission member Arjunjung Thapa, Prof. Dr. Sanjay Acharya, Dr. Devendra Gauchan, Reshu Aryal, Prof. Dr. Sudan Jha and Dr. Pukar Malla was appointed.

Appointed member Thapa is the former secretary of the Ministry of Physical Sciences and Prof. Dr. Acharya is a Professor of Economics at Tribhuvan University.

Similarly, Dr. Gauchan is a senior fellow at the Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS). Aryal is an educationist. She was previously in the role of consultant when Balen Shah was the mayor of Kathmandu metropolis.

Pvt. Dr. Jha is a professor of computer science and engineering at Kathmandu University and Dr. Mall is the co-founder and chairman of Governance Lab. He is also the executive coach of Nepal Leadership Academy.

Earlier, the government appointed Dr. as the Vice President of the Planning Commission. Gunakar Bhatt was appointed.
