22 Chait, Kathmandu. DP Aryal, Deputy Chairman of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA), has become the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. Now Aryal will be in the fifth place in the order of dignity of the people who carry the official responsibility in the state agencies.

Aryal was proposed as Speaker by RSVP. The proposal was unanimously approved by the Sunday meeting of the House of Representatives. According to the practice of holding the post of Speaker of the Parliament as a common person, no other party nominated candidates. So he was unopposed.

Other parties also supported Aryal as the candidate for Speaker from RSVP, which has 182 seats in the House of Representatives.

According to RSVP leaders, he expressed his desire for the post of Home Minister during the formation of the cabinet of the new government. After it was confirmed that Sudhan Gurung would be made the Home Minister, the RSVP reached the decision to make the Deputy Speaker Aryal the Speaker.

Aryal, who identified himself as a ‘confidant’ of Chairman Ravi Lamichhane, was close to Ravi even before the formation of the RSP. The RSVP has now sent him to the responsibility of performing a managerial role as the main leader of the House.

Aryal, who became a proportional member of parliament in the previous parliament, became the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security twice when he participated in the RSVP government.

Aryal, who played the role of Acting Chairman when Ravi was jailed, won this time from Kathmandu-9 by a wide margin.

Dr. Minister of Finance, who is also the deputy chairman of RSVP, said that he has coordination ability. Swarnim Wagle said that coordination ability will now be demonstrated in the House in the coming days.

Aryal became active in politics after the formation of RASWP on 7th June 2079. On the 17th of the same month as the party was formed, when the RSWP was registered with the Election Commission, Aryal’s name was placed third in the list of central members.

From Jaleshwar meeting, Dr. Before Swarnim Wagle was added, Aryal was the sole vice-chairman. Aryal was also in charge of the head of the migration department of RSWP.

Aryal was involved in easylink remittance when the chairman Ravi was a television presenter. Since then Ravi and Aryal had grown close. Aryal made Ravi the brand ambassador of the remittance company.

Aryal went to Japan for employment in 2053 and also started a rental business. He was born 51 years ago in Savik Maidi Gavis (currently Jamalukhi Rural Municipality) of Dhading District and is currently living in Binayak Basti, Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

He was active in the fields of tourism, education, foreign study consultancy, cooperatives, remittance etc. He has experience of investing in Sumire Tours and Travels, Yokohama Japanese Language Academy, Hames School, Janasagar Savings and Loan Cooperative and Easylink Remittance as a director and CEO.

He made alternative politics, good governance, job creation and labor-friendly policy as his election agenda and won in Kathmandu-9 by far behind other competitors.

Now, from the role of the highest and common person of the House of Representatives, Aryal will have to maintain fairness. The speaker is responsible for convening the executive session of the parliament. He has to play a role in forming the parliamentary committee. The administrative work of the Parliament Secretariat also falls under its duties, duties and powers.

In general: Speaker does not have voting rights in the House. In the event of an equal number of votes, the speaker has the right to vote.
