20 March, Kathmandu. Nominations for the Speaker’s post are being registered today. The election is scheduled to be held on March 22.

According to the Secretariat of the Federal Parliament, the time for registration of nominations for the post of Speaker has been fixed from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm this Friday. After that, the list of candidates will be published at 2:30 pm.

In the House of Representatives meeting held on the 22nd, the motion will be proposed and the supporters will support that he be elected as Speaker. There is an agenda that will be presented for decision after the collective discussion on the notification of candidacy.

RSVP has promoted party vice president Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal to the post of speaker. The meeting held on Thursday of RSWP decided to advance Aryal to the post of speaker. He is sure to be the speaker. It is certain that Aryal will be the speaker as there is a large party with 182 seats in the House of Representatives.

Arjun Narsingh KC, a senior member of the House of Representatives, has been presiding over the meeting of the House of Representatives since there is no Speaker at present.

After the election for the post of Speaker, the election for the post of Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly will be held on March 23. For that, there is a program of nomination registration on 22nd of Chait.

As the term of the previous vice president Vimala Ghimire ended on February 20, the post of vice president of the National Assembly is currently vacant.
