19 Chait, Kathmandu. Iran has launched a drone attack targeting the Kuwait International Airport. A large fire broke out in a fuel storage tank due to a drone attack on Wednesday.

Abdullah Al-Rajhi, the spokesman of Kuwait’s General Directorate of Civil Aviation, said that the drone attack was carried out by Iran and armed groups supported by it. According to him, although the fuel tank caught fire in the attack, there was no human loss.

Kuwait’s official news agency, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), also reported that there were no casualties in the incident.

This attack is a continuation of regional tensions that started on February 28 after the US and Israel attacked Iran. Since then, Iran has been increasing missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and US allies in the Gulf region.

Due to increasing military activities in the Gulf region, the security situation is becoming more sensitive.

After the incident, the security of the airport area has been tightened. Efforts to bring the fire under control are ongoing.

In recent days, the Kuwait airport and the fuel storage centers there have been repeatedly attacked.

As the conflict between the US-Israel and Iran escalates, Iran has increased its attacks targeting the countries of the Gulf, including Israel, where US military bases are located.

Meanwhile, a commercial structure caught fire in Bahrain due to the Iranian attack. The Ministry of Defense of Saudi Arabia said that some drones that entered its territory were intercepted and destroyed.
