18 Chait, Kathmandu. An all-party meeting is being held today at the call of the Parliament Secretariat. The meeting will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon in the office of Padma Prasad Pandey, Secretary General of the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

The first meeting of MPs elected from the House of Representatives election held on February 21 has been called for March 19 at 2 pm. General Secretary Pandey called the meeting regarding the conduct of the same meeting.

Representatives of all parties, representatives of the government and officials of the Federal Parliament Secretariat will participate in the meeting.

The next meeting of the House of Representatives will continue the process of election of the Speaker. Apart from this, it is a practice for political parties to address greetings by top leaders if they wish.

This time in the House of Representatives, 6 parties including RSVP, Congress, UML, CPN, Shramsanskuri and RP are represented with national recognition. There is one independent (Mahabeer Pun) elected MP.

RSVP has become the largest party with 182 seats in the 275-member House of Representatives. Congress is the second party with 38 seats, UML is the third party with 25 seats and Nepali Communist Party is the fourth party with 17 seats.

The Shram Sanskriti Party, which participated in the elections for the first time, became the fifth party in the Parliament by winning 7 seats. National Independent Party has become the sixth party with 5 seats.
