Ministry of Health and Population Chief Public Health Administrator Dr. Bhim Prasad Sapkota and Executive Director of Health Insurance Board Dr. Krishnaprasad Paudel has been asked for an explanation. The Ministry has asked them for an explanation regarding the appointment of members of the Health Insurance Board.

The Ministry has asked Chief Public Health Administrator Sapkota and Executive Director Paudel for a three-day explanation regarding the appointment of members of the Health Insurance Board and the attendance of members in the meeting.

In the media, it was made public that the employees have a role in arranging documents related to minute matters, decisions and attendance regarding the appointment of members of the Health Insurance Board.

In the letter signed by Dipendra Dahal, Branch Officer of the Personnel Administration Branch of the Ministry, Sapkota and Poudel have been asked to submit a reply to the Ministry within three days regarding their involvement and role in the matter and the reasons for this.

There was a controversy after Junu Shrestha, a board member who had been inactive, was allowed to participate in the meeting again. Shrestha is the wife of recently dismissed minister Deepak Shah. Minister Sah was recalled by the RSVP for abusing his official dignity and involving his wife in regular work as a member of the Health Insurance Board, which has been inactive for a long time.
