28 March, Kathmandu. A high-level delegation of Iran has reached Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, for peace talks with the United States.

According to Iran’s official media, the delegation has reached Islamabad to prepare for the talks.

According to BBC Hindi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan issued a statement and confirmed that the Iranian delegation had arrived in Islamabad.

According to local media, the team was welcomed at Noor Khan International Airport.

The Iranian delegation is led by the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagar Ghalibaf. Along with him, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Defense Council Secretary Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Central Bank Governor Abdulnasir Hemmati and other members of parliament are also participating.

The team was welcomed by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Home Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi were also present at the reception.

The possible negotiations between Iran and the US are being watched with interest at the regional and international levels.
