25th December, Kathmandu. It has been revealed that the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has also started an investigation against the former Minister of Nepali Congress, Deepak Khadka, on the charges of corruption.

The Asset Laundering Investigation Department, while submitting a written reply to the case of arrest of Khadka, has sent details that the Authority is also investigating Khadka and some files have been created in that process.

Vinita Thapa filed a petition in the Supreme Court for her husband’s illegal detention. After hearing the petition, the Supreme Court ordered that the file be obtained from the authority as well.

The authority investigates allegations of decision-making corruption and illegal wealth acquisition. The authority is investigating the complaint of illegal acquisition of wealth against Khadka. The Supreme Court has ordered that the authority should appear with the file on Friday as the file was not submitted.
