Kathmandu. The play ‘Seto Dharti’ will be staged at Kantipur Theater from 27th Chait. Film actress Benisha Hamal is making her film debut with this play, which is based on the Madan award-winning book written by writer Amar Neupane.

Now actress Rekha Thapa has joined the production of this play. Rekha had earlier made her stage debut with the play ‘Meera’ of Kantipur Theatre.

Sundar Dhital will direct the play. More than 30 actors from Kantipur theater are also acting in this play, which is currently being rehearsed, along with actress Hamal.

Earlier, Kantipur Theater has made a play by debuting Rekha in Deepak Sinjali’s novel ‘Meera’ and Jeevan Luitel in Parijat’s novel ‘Shirishko Phool’.

Prakash Puri, the chief executive officer of the academy, said that Kantipur Film Academy is presenting famous books as dramas with the aim of connecting theatre, cinema and literature through Kantipur theatre.

The play ‘Seto Dharti’ will be staged from Friday 27 March to Saturday 19 Baisakh.
