The meeting held on Monday also decided to request the Nepal government to extend the contract period of the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur and hand over the Lower Mulpani Cricket Ground, which is currently operating under the National Sports Council, to CAN.
“The government of Nepal has given high priority to the stadium, which is about to end its contract period with Tribhuvan University, as the first phase of the cricket stadium with international facilities has been completed and floodlights have been installed, and the ground is indispensable for the development of Nepali cricket, it has been decided to request for an extension of the contract agreement period of Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground,” said a press release issued by CAN.
