19 Chaitra, Surkhet. Inisa Wick’s body will be found by relatives after 27 days. After identifying his body, the family is preparing to bury him at Mudighat near Bheri Bridge on Thursday afternoon.
Demanding justice for Inisa, the family refused to accept the body. His body has been kept in the provincial hospital’s mortuary for 27 days.
On Tuesday, the Surkhet district court ordered the four minors who were arrested on charges of murder after rape to be sent to a juvenile correctional facility for pretrial detention.
16-year-old Inisa, who had a permanent home in Gurvakot-6, Badakholi, was living in Birendranagar-1. She was studying in Class 11 at Usha Balbatika School in Birendra Nagar and left home on the morning of February 23 to study for tuition.
On the same day, at 9 am, she was found unconscious in the forest near Shaheed Park in Birendranagar-4. Immediately, the police rushed to the state hospital Kalagaon where doctors declared him dead.
In the same incident, the police arrested four youths. Initially, the incident was suspicious and the police started an investigation saying that it was a murder after rape.
Demonstrations were held at various stages across the country demanding immediate action against the culprits of the Inisa incident.
