19 Chait. Kathmandu. The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) is starting today. The Examination Control Office (Class 10) under the National Examination Board is going to conduct the examination simultaneously across the country as in the past.

According to the Controller of Examinations Tukraj Adhikari, the SEE examination will start at the same time from 8:00 am in the designated examination centers across the country.

This year 5 lakh 12 thousand 421 students will participate in the SEE exam which will be completed on 29th Chait. Among them, four lakh 41 thousand 566 people are going to take the exam for regular and 70 thousand 855 people for grade increase.

The number of female students in taking the exam is more. This year two lakh 57 thousand 613 female students, two lakh 54 thousand 801 male students and seven others will participate in the examination. 23 people are taking the exam from an exam center in Japan.

On the first day of the exam, the compulsory English subject exam will be conducted today. Similarly, on March 20th, compulsory Nepali, on March 22nd, compulsory mathematics, on March 23rd, science and technology, on March 24th, social studies, on March 25th, all subjects of optional first section, on March 26th, all subjects of optional second section, and on March 27th, 28th and 29th, the remaining technical subjects will be conducted.

The National Examination Board is going to conduct the secondary education examination (SEE) answer sheet test from the respective examination center.

1 thousand 966 examination centers have been determined for the examination, while students from 11 thousand 379 schools across the country where secondary level is taught will participate in the examination.

According to the board, 15 policemen, one head of the center, one assistant head of the center, one inspector equal to 20 examinees, one office assistant equal to 100 examinees and two other employees have been arranged in each center for the security of the examination.

The answer sheet will be tested within three days

This year, it is planned that the examination will be completed within three days at the most. Similarly, a new provision has been made to print the ‘mark slip’, put it on a ‘tab’ and ‘seal it’ in an envelope and submit it to the Education Development and Coordination Unit in a confidential and secure manner within three days.

The center will attach a ‘packet’ to the answer sheet received in the prescribed format. After that, the examination center and subject should be mentioned in the sealed envelope and sent to the Examination Control Office (Class 10).

In the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) Management and Answer Book Examination Guidelines, 2082, it is arranged that the designated examiners should reach the examination center by the time the examination ends. Examiners and auditors should be arranged so that the answer sheets of the respective schools are not required. It has been arranged that the results can be published on a provincial basis as well.

The examiner and examiner of the answer sheet have been asked to take the test at the test center itself. As far as possible in the school building where the examination center is located, arrangements have been made to conduct the examination and examination in a secure room with CCTV connection, and arrangements have been made to prevent irregularities such as taking the answer book out of the examination center, taking the examination by others instead of the designated examiner, conducting the examination by teachers who do not meet the prescribed qualifications, and the possibility of losing or mixing up the answers book.

It is mentioned in the guidelines that examiners and auditors should not bring electronic devices such as mobile phones into the examination room.

This year, SEE has banned mass monitoring of exams. In the name of monitoring the examination center, the group monitoring was stopped after complaints were made that the writing work of the examinees was interrupted when the representatives of various organizations entered the hall. For monitoring, a committee has been formed in each district under the coordination of the chief district officer.

Preparations are being made to make the examination transparent, organized and the answer book test to be done quickly and the results to be published soon.
