18 Chait, Kathmandu. Preparations for the 20th NNIPA Sports Awards 2082 organized by the Nepal National and International Sports Association (NNIPA) have been completed.

Shivsunder Gothe, president of the organizing players’ association, informed at a press conference held on Wednesday that the preparations have been completed.

The local organizer Banepa Municipality Mayor Shanti Ratna Shakya said that he is ready to welcome everyone who will participate in the award and thanked the sportsmen’s association for giving them the opportunity to organize the award.

General Secretary Gothe said that the same number of players from different 26 games will be awarded. Players of football, athletics, handball, golf, usu, weightlifting, judo, badminton, archery, fencing, triathlon, swimming, wrestling, basketball, kabaddi, karate, volleyball, taekwondo, gymnastics, lawn tennis, hockey, table tennis, boxing, skiing, canoeing and cycling will be awarded with 15,000 cash.

Apart from that, the same 1-1 male/female best player will be honored with 1 lakh and 50 thousand for the talented player, 35 thousand will be awarded to a seasoned sports personality Gajraj Joshi ideal sports personality and 35 thousand to a sports journalist with NNIPA Sports Journalism Award and 15 thousand to the best sportsperson of the year.

The award program will be held at the Chandeshwari temple complex of Banepa municipality. The award program is going to be held outside Kathmandu Valley for the first time.
