Mumbai. Although it has entered the second week, it seems that there are still some surprises left with ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. On Tuesday, the 13th day of the release, the film’s domestic earnings are on the rise again.

Even abroad, the film maintained a steady performance and crossed the mark of 1400 crores at the worldwide box office, which is the first achievement for any Bollywood film except the Chinese market.

The spy-thriller film directed by Aditya Dhar crossed the mark of 1000 crores worldwide in its first week of release. In its first weekend, the film broke all box office records and registered more than 100 crore nett revenue in the first three days. This rhythm continues till the second week.

In the second weekend alone, the film earned a nett of Rs 170 crore in India, making it the biggest second weekend grosser in the history of Indian cinema. On Tuesday, the film collected Rs 27 crore nett, which is almost 10 percent more than Monday. Along with this, this film starring Ranveer Singh has earned Rs 899 crore net (Rs 1085 crore gross) in India. With the Wednesday morning show, the film has crossed the Rs 900 crore mark.

The impact of the film is equally great in the foreign market as well. It took an opening of $7 million in the beginning and grossed over $22 million in its first weekend. Although there was some decline in the intervening days, the momentum picked up again in the second weekend.

On Tuesday alone, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has added nearly $1 million overseas, taking the total international earnings to $38.4 million. The film has now become the highest-grossing Indian film in many foreign markets, including North America, where it broke the 9-year-old record of ‘Baahubali 2’.

The worldwide earnings of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ have now reached 1435 crores (gross). No Hindi film has ever achieved such a feat without being released in China. Earlier, Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ had crossed this figure in 2017, but it had a major contribution of earning around $235 million (roughly Rs. 1300 crore) from the Chinese market alone.

Along with Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi are also seen again in ‘Dhurandhar 2’. Directed by Aditya Dhar, this spy thriller was released on March 19.

Earlier, the first part of ‘Dhurandhar’ earned 1300 crores worldwide and since its release in December, it has continued to perform in theaters for three months. Its sequel is progressing with the target of crossing Rs 2000 crore.
