18 Chait, Kathmandu. The National Examination Board is going to conduct the secondary education examination (SEE) answer sheet test from the respective examination center. According to the plan to publish the results within a month, the answer sheet is going to be tested from the place where the exam took place.

After Sasmit Pokharel was appointed as the Minister of Education, Science and Technology, he directed that the result of SEE be made public within a month. The ministry has instructed to publish the results in a month. For that, it has been decided to set up a test center in the examination center itself and test the answer sheets,’ said Tukraj Adhikari, controller of SEE examination.

If there is no teacher in the examination center or if it is felt unsafe, the Education Development and Coordination Unit has arranged for the examination to be conducted from another place. “The exam center where there is no teacher and is not safe can be moved,” the examination controller said, “in the case of others, the answer sheet will be tested from the exam center itself.”

In previous years, the test centers were designated secretly. Also, the answer sheet of one province was taken to another province for testing. This year the examination is going to be conducted from the respective examination center.

Earlier, the result of SEE was published in the second week of June. The examination board used to make a calendar and publish the results. But there were complaints that the results were to be announced late. When the results came late, there were complaints that there was a psychological impact on the students as well as unnecessary stress on the students by conducting classes like Breeze Course. The Ministry has already decided to stop the operation of Breeze Course after SEE.

SEE exam preparation complete

According to the National Examination Board, the SEE examination is starting from Thursday, 19th of Chait (tomorrow).

According to the academic calendar, the examination should be held in the first week of March. But due to the House of Representatives elections on February 21, it was pushed to March 19. According to the board, all the preparations for the exam have been completed.

Before the examination, a virtual meeting of the relevant officials of the state and district including Education Minister Pokharel has also been held. ‘Preparations are over. Tomorrow is the exam. A virtual meeting was also held with the province and district yesterday. Information has come from all 77 districts that all the preparations have been completed,’ said the examination controller officer.

According to him, the question paper and answer sheet have reached the center. Center presidents have also been appointed and reached the respective centers. A team of staff and security personnel will also be deployed to conduct the examination.

1 thousand 966 centers have been set up to conduct this year’s SEE examination. One center is in Japan. The exam will start from 8 am.

This year 5 lakh 12 thousand 421 students are participating in SEE. According to the board, there are 257 thousand 613 female students, 254 thousand 811 male students and 7 others. 23 students from Everest School in Japan are taking the SEE exam.

The board has also requested everyone to conduct the SEE in a peaceful and fearless environment.
